    Gary is our Wine Chauffeur, he enjoys meeting all of our customers out on the Hampshire roads and will always greet you with a friendly smile :)
    Iain Assistant Manager
    Iain has worked with Majestic for over 2 years and is our resident powerhouse. He's often busy shifting boxes in our store room and making sure all your favourite products make it on to the shelves but when he is on the shop floor he will be more than happy to talk to you about his favourite grape - Pinot Noir.
    Mark Driver
    Mark is our resident antipodean driver, you will see his cheery face whilst delivering your wine
    Dan Senior Manager
    Dan is the Northerner from Somerset. Don't engage in conversation because you'll end up buying a lot more than you came in for! His favourite tipple is a full bodied oaky Californian Chardonnay - has he mentioned Duckhorn to you yet..?
    Chloe Assistant Manager
    Chloe has basically become part of the furniture at Majestic Winchester. She left briefly to have a baby but has come back ready to talk wine and spirits to all of our lovely customers. She loves hosting a tasting so send all your enquries her way. She's currently enjoying exploring Southern French Whites but will always be partial to an Amarone
    Sarah Sales Assistant
    Sarah will bring a smile to your day, especially if she gets talking about wine or dogs. She's well travelled so make sure you ask her about all the far flung places she's lived. Her favourite wine is the Montes Purple Angel Carmenere - not cheap but it will blow you away!
    Jai Sales Assistant
    Jai is the newest member of Team Winchester. She is a ray of positive sunshine and absolutely loves chatting to our customers and finding them their perfect bottle. She's still exploring and learning about our range and loves nothing more than a good customer recommendation!
    Sam Sales Assistant
    Sam the man is with us until March when he will be off travelling the world. Make sure you give him some recommendations on places to visit, particularly in Asia. He loves a glass of wine and has been exploring our Primitivo and Zinfandel range recently

    After the success of our first Intro to Wine tasting, we are now taking bookings for our next tasting evening - this month's featuring a selection of Spanish wines & pairing with typical Spanish cuisine.

    This is a great opportunity for us to bring together a small group of people who want to learn a little more about the fundamentals of wine.  Opening a selection of wines to discuss the distinct differences and how climate & winery influence can affect the wines.  

    This is a ticketed event at £10 per person which goes to our charity of the year - this year The Alzheimer's Society.

    Including this, we have booked in the next three months worth of tasting events as seen below;

    Saturday February 25th 5-6.45pm  - Intro to Spain
    Friday 31st March 6-7.45pm - New World Vs. Old World
    Friday 28th April 6-7.45pm - French Regions

    We are pleased to announce that our 'Intro to Wine' Tasting Evening is back on Friday January 27th.  Our Store Manager, Andy, will be showcasing a flight of our Definition range within this event to analyse the different styles of some of the classics.  This is a ticketed event at £10 per head and requires pre-booking via phone or email.  If you'd like to book, please call us on 01962 868708 or email us on win@majestic.co.uk.

    Closed for the Bank Holiday

    We will be closed on Monday 19th September for the Royal Funeral, to allow our colleagues to pay their respects.

    We will be back open, as usual, on Tuesday 20th September.

    Our Concierge subscription service changed about a year ago to our Wine Club, a premium offering allowing you to try a variety of themed wines designed to take you on a journey of exploration. Our next instore event is a Wine Club showcase event! This open evening gives you the chance to learn about our Wine Club and taste some new wines.

    This free event is on Thursday 25th September from 5:30pm but please contact the store either via email or call to reserve a space.

    We’re delighted to announce that Majestic Tasting: Introduction To Wine is back! This 90 minute session is perfect for anyone starting out on their wine journey, or if you’re someone who would just like to know a little bit more. We cover the basic tasting technique, look at what makes wine so varied and unique, and introduce you to some of the key styles of wine from across the world.

    Our next Introduction to Wine is at 6pm on Thursday 23rd June. Tickets are £10 per person, and spaces are limited, so please get in touch if you would like to secure your spot.

    Received a delivery yesterday. I asked that the delivery be placed in the porch if I was not in. When the delivery was made I was in the garage  so the driver left the delivery on the small wall surrounding my porch and in full view of any passer by. As a rule when deliveries are made they are left just behind this wall and out of sight of any would be thieves. I cannot understand why he would have left the boxes in this position. Perhaps I will have to be more specific in future but this action has surprised me as its more difficult to leave the boxes on the wall than on the ground and out of sight.
